Took the pine brook bend trail, off the Kancamagus highway.
Zero degrees and 80% clear.
Had a note in my journal to get a water insulator. It felt like the coldest hike I’ve ever been on, 1pmh the way up 2mph + down, u. Used microspikes, post holed once or twice. The rivers were thickly covered with ice and we came across a dozen or so blowdowns.
