Art knoll

A place to collect my art which I started in earnest in early 2025. Most use a uniball pen and india ink, and some include watercolor. Below is work from two 8.5×5.5 in sketchbooks and a few larger pieces.

I lean toward subjects that are well-lit and often mundane. I've practiced photography for years with similar subject matter. This practice allows a further study into everyday, quiet moments.

For the second year in a row, I participated in a month-long art fundraiser supporting CASAN, an org for asylum seekers in VT. Both years combined, I raised $1252 for the cause. In the summer of 2025, I did my first plein air, in Middlebury. I've found I'm much more productive with this sort of stuctural committment.

The images toward the top are newer. You can see my transition to getting more comfortable with color.
