Tame Impala at Paradise Rock Club
I dragged some friends to this band I loved but they didn’t knew yet. Their debut album InnerSpeaker knocked me down. It felt fresh. Guitar-driven modern psychedelia, but still within the indie rock bounds. Lo-fi, sludgy, dazey, and drums that were doing a lot of work. Track 8, “Expectation” was a stand out for me; a simple groove with a complex melody of lyrics over it.
“Everything you ever told me could have been a lie we may never have been in love…”
